Perseus

Yesterday Perseus was neutered.

The vet (Dr. Oomah) was excellent, answering all of my questions.

He seemed to really care about my bun, and know a lot about buns in general.

We picked Perce up last night and he was a bit groggy.

He also has a blue cone on due to him licking his stiches.

Last night sometime he must have taken it off, he is a sneaky little bugger.

It is back on and he's pouting in his corner. Poor sweet cherub!

Will be giving him lots of treats today.

Allright,
so my weeks of late have been report cards for swimming lessons. They take sooo long to write and we only get paid for 15 minutes of work per class. If you have a class with 3 kids, sure that's fine, but try 10 or even 16. Not cool.

Last night Niall came home a bit early and we went out to buy supplies for a romantic dinner.
Candles, salmon with crab rolled inside of it, garlic mashed potatoes, and a salad.
It was lovely.
We also rented Star Trek which was so much better than I had thought.

Yesterday I had a lovely day of lunch with Emily and then to the mall with Patten (Jessica, but we usually call her by her last name).
My Sparkle Party (for end of the pool work) is on for next Saturday and I am ever so excited.
We're doing a Swap and Share (like off of the Office) and I am buying Christmas lights today.

I also need to get Steph a birthday present (last Friday was the big 24) as she is coming to town this evening for her birthday party!

This morning I am redying my hair so best get on that as I have a lot to do today before I pick up Niall at 1pm.

This is my 200th post.

First of all, I would like to apologize for being such a slacker with the blog. But we all know how real life gets in the way of computer time.

Plus, I love tumblr and it's so much easier posting photos on that than this!

But I shall continue on.

It is such a grey dreary day today. I fill up my giant mug with hot chocolate but even that isn't doing much.

I work at the pool at 3:30 today, so I still have awhile to go before putting on my wetsuit.

I don't usually shower before pooling (not much pointe) but it is so very nasty out and I've been having major back pain, that a shower may be a must today!

Both Boudica and Perseus have been out in the living room running around today (though at seperate times because P will pee on B if they get in a tussle, good grief), and Perseus is now flopped by the sliding glass doors just looking out the window. What a sweetie.

This weekend we did the usual grocery shopping and laundry but also took a walk around the golf course all bundled up. I have some pictures from that walk and also Rememberance Day-off trip to the harbour and a walk around the Uplands.

I love my new camera. I named him Oswald and he takes amazing photos! They are so good and the zoom... my goodness.

Anyways, I need to catch up on reading all of the blogs, and then hopefully I can post some photos or something. I will try to get an update on my wee bloggie every morning, or night. Whenever I have time!

Today is Friday. I have no work work today, just house work. Hurray!
I have already dropped Ni off at his work, and put in a load of laundry at the condo. Dica and I have been playing for the last little while, and I gave her a haircut.
She just bit me because I was not paying attention to her for one minute.
Oops, she's off running again, buzzing like a little Bee. Haha, and she's back flopping in front of me for a backrub. Such a sweetie.
The bunnies have both been really good lately. Niall and I did a huge clean up of their room last night (we got a Dust Buster at Walmart last weekend). Awesome.

Today I'm getting a new camera. Hurray! I don't really have enough money to be able to buy it and groceries, but I can't take it anymore. I've wanted it for soooo long.

Niall has planned to get off work early today so I'll pick him up at 2. I've got to catch up on my girlie tv while he isn't here, so I'm off to download America's Next Top Model and Grey's Anatomy.

Today I'm there 9-11:45. Then Gap 2-7.

This morning I drove Ni to work, and came home to Boudica sitting right beside Perseus' cage looking very guilty. She has ripped a hole in our comforter, so the tarp is back on the bed.

Perseus is binking around like CRAZY right now.
He has proceeded to run super super fast around the living room then, bip! right into a cartwheel!!!!
WHAT?!

Also, I think he tried to do a flip.
He turned 5 months on Hallowe'en.

Only one month to go before he and Boudica can hang out without him peeing all over her (grr/yuck).

Boudica's been so so sweet lately. She's all about the cuddles and kisses. She was being really standoffish the last month, I think more focusing on her and Perseus' new sibling relationship, but now she's back to wanting back rubs from Daddy and cheek massages from Mummy.

I love my babies!!!

the first monday of movember

Yesterday was rather uneventful.
Niall was hungover, I was still feeling sick.

We did some grocery shopping, popped over to Amanda's to see Little J's super girl costume which she had so desperately wanted to show us on Saturday, and ordered dinner from Swiss Chalet.

Dinner was 2 hours late, we were hungry, tired and grumpy.
Watched Canadian Bacon which was pretty good. Also watched Couples Retreat which was super funny but the version we watched had super bad sound quality so I feel we missed a lot of lines.

Today I'm at the pool 3-7 and I have no idea if I'm supposed to be working this morning?!

so incredibly dissapointed...

pretty much my favourite holiday of the year.


and i have a migraine.
have already been sick and just sent the boyfriend off so at least he can enjoy his hallowe'en.

so sad. am crying.

I'm in Miami, bitch.

Today is the last day before we go to Miami. My sister drove down yesterday while I was at work and we will be spending a bit of the day together. We get along a lot better when our parents are not around. Too bad we'll be sharing a room with them for the next week!

I need to finish packing today. I don't have too too many clothes, so this is a bit difficult; hopefully I won't have to buy anything else (baha, what am I saying!?)...

Still need to paint my nails today, and get some new headphones for the wee old iPod shuffle.

i woke up chipper

Sunday was great. Up early to go work at the Gap for 8-1:15. I was in kids, saw my favourite family and just had a good time :)
Then my friends from the pool Emily and Sarah came to visit me.
I bought Niall SUPERBAD, and he was superstoked (ha).

The two of us made pumpkin pie yesterday, and then lasagne.
We invited a couple of friends over so dinner and board games (Cranium and Monopoly).
I went bankrupt on Monopoly, and Niall and I won Cranium - we can pretty much read each other's minds on that one.

Everyone stayed until 11:30 (I know! On a Sunday night!)

The only bad part was when Boudica was binkying around the living room then ran really fast into my heel. Poor baby hurt her nose and I was so upset. But don't worry, she was AOK like 5 minutes later. Phew. Still got a treat of a bunch of raisins, though.

Twas a good weekend,

and I'm working at the pool 9:30-11, 3-7 today.

Good morning! We woke up to the sound of pouring pouring rain so I drove Ni to work.

Steph is coming over and we shall be going to brunch and then it's off to the Gap for me 2-10pm today. Ughhh. Yesterday was so long, but I got a new purse for 20 bucks!

Good morning!
Already back from my morning shift at the pool, and heading back at 1pm for inventory and afternoon lessons.
The weather just keeps getting colder, and it was windy today too, brr. Not the greatest time to run from the pool to your car in a dripping wetsuit.

Tonight we're making potato soup for dinner, and I am going to have a slice of pumpkin pie in about... ooh 3 minutes?

Working 9-11 at the pool, and I got a phone call yesterday about possibly going to work at the Gap today, but I have not heard anything back from them.
I kind of hope I don't get called in. I've been super tired lately, and have a lot of chores to get done today so I would rather just be lazy and do my own cleaning instead of folding at the Gap. Yay.

Must get breakfast and figure out which laundry needs to be done :)

everyday is saturday night but i can't wait till monday morning

The bunnies just had a lovely breakfast of apples and raisins. I am catching up on my weekend blog viewing, as Niall came home early and so we had some fun this weekend, instead of me spending the days in bed with my laptop.
Yesterday was nice so we tossed the frizbee around, and then took some photos. Very fun. I made a roast chicken dinner and we watched Watchmen (which I fell asleep on the couch to).
We went grocery shopping *so cheap yesterday* and have our meals planned out for the week (as per usual) but this week Amanda and Josie Mae will be joining us on Thursday evening. Yay!

Thursday: off sick from work.
Friday: off sick from work.
Saturday: went mini golfing to celebrate 3 years, 4 month anniversary. Also bought Lego Batman game so played that for awhile on the computer.
Sunday: worked 8am-12. Not too bad, cleaned and then had a tour of babyGap.

We grocery shopped and then played Batman. Also made a chicken pot pie for dinner...


which Niall dropped out of the oven. HA!
He was so mad, but I didn't care. Just couldn't stop laughing as I scooped it up onto the plates. It didn't fall onto the floor, just the bottom of the oven so that was good.
He will never live this down.

Today I work at 3:30. Going to do some chores etc before work because I am feeling better. Hurrah!

my babies are growing up

Yesterday I phoned a bunch of vets to see about getting Perseus fixed.
No dice, he's only almost 4 months and they do the surgery at 6 months.

P is almost the same size as my baby girl! They are getting along so much better now. She lets him lick her head and he doesn't try to hump her (as much). Haha!

I can hear them running around their room (he still lives in his giant hutch, she get the whole room).

Ahh, sibling rivalry?

i ended up getting sick at work last night.
my boss had to drive me home.

not up to anything today.
they subbed my morning shift off, but i have to babysit at 12:30 and then gap at 4-10.

Well, it is officially fall and I think acceptable to start having pumpkin pie, and other things pumpkin spiced. Technically, I started having pumpkin pie last season, near the end of August. Whoops!

I love the pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks, and it just so happens that I have a giftcard from a family I taught swimming lessons to!
I also nabbed a $10 Timmy's gift card from work for being a stellar teacher. Sweet.

the first day of fall

It looks more like summer than it has in the past three weeks!
Loving the sunshine and the 24* heat!

Had a bunch of preschool swim lessons this morning and a level 3 of homeschool children.
Done until 1:30 tomorrow, kind of niiiice!!

this is how i've taken to wearing my hair lately.

slightly curled, loose bangs hidden under a side swept chunk of hair.

Ni really likes. me too!

Hello, Cupcake!

2.5 cups flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

.5 teaspoon baking soda

.5 teaspoon salt

.5 cup milk

.5 cup veggie oil

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 stick of butter

1 cup sugar

3 large eggs

mix dry ingredients (flour, baking powder and soda, salt) in one bowl.

mix wet ingredients (milk, oil, vanilla) in another bowl.

mix sugar and butter in one big bowl.

once sugar/butter is light and fluffy, add the flour bowl, then the wet bowl, then flour bowl (etc) until all ingredients are in butter bowl and finish with flour mix last.

mix mix mix, here i added a whole whack of red food colouring to get the pink colour.

pour into cupcake pan, lined with those cute paper liners.

oven should be preheated at 350* F.

bake 15-20 minutes, until toothpick can slide in and out smooth.
