Friday Friday Frid-yay

Aside from working at the Gap tonight (6-10) I really don't have anything to do today! Love it when this happens. I've got some laundry to get through, and need to pick up some cereal and tp.
I was going to buy a party top for going out on Friday night but did not get a big a paycheck as I thought. I wonder where I can get a cheap party top? - Sirens, Costa Blanca would be two good options. They are rather slutty stores. Mysi is a little more expensive.
I've been looking at rings online for quite some time now. Really want another funky addition to go with my Club Monaco ring.

Last night got off work at 7, then went for coffee and dessert with Jess, Em, and Sarah. It was a quite enjoyable evening! Emily is so bloody random I cannot keep up with her. I love having girlfriends again but I feel like I am way out of practise and akward. Oh well.

Got the Lady Gaga cd from Jess so I've been listening to it this morning while Dica got her morning cuddle/head rub.

Working 9-11:45, 1:30-2, 3-5.

A very scattered shift so I will be bringing a mug for tea, lots of towels, and my fashion magazines (InStyle, Lucky, Elle).

Good morning!

Dica is out racing around as I type. It's so funny to open the bedroom door and hear her scurry across the cardboard then BOOM out like a shot into the living room! She's currently begging for raisins.
I rearranged their room yesterday after a big vacuum. Much better. Perseus' cage is back by the window but also by the heater. He would huddle next to his blankie to stay warm so hopefully this will be a better spot for him.

I've been reading a lot of http://www.designspongeonline.com/ and http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/ these past few days. Niall and I are both sick of our place and are actually starting to look forward to the move. That's right, we're moving come August. Niall will be attending Uni and he asked me on Christmas to move with him. Finally, jeez.
But yes, getting a lot of inspiration for a nice place and there's just not really anything to work with here.

For one, the shape of the living room. It's just so long and Niall has his desk area as the end nearest to the walk through kitchen (I hate those). Also, our bed is in the living room. So with an ugly couch and pillows and covers all messed up on the bed, the living room is not that appealing to the eye.

My wall collage consists of 4 framed photos from Value Village, and a lot of ripped out pages from magazines. I want mirrors. Old fashioned mirrors in old fashioned frames. Some paintings. Pops of colour. And not all the same bloody size like magazine pages.

ARGH!


Today I think I'm working 3-7 and also going to visit Amanda and Jo. Boudica just ran back into her room so I need to go shower and then paint my nails and toenails. I hate having them bare. I feel so nekkid!

Ni went to school earlier today to work on calculus with his study group. He's still not home.
I went and did laundry, the groceries, and have been reading blogs/on tumblr all afternoon.
Of course, the buns had a good romp and the floor got dirty (sawdust everywhere) so I just whipped out the vacuum.
Better get starting on chopping those veggies for fajitas........

Had the buns out for a bonding session this morning which went pretty well.
My girlfriend from Ontario was here last night (and stopped by this morning to meet my babies) and we went for dinner with her boyfriend and one of his friends.

Am stuffed up and my face is sore from the chlorine this week.
Already showered and put my makeup on so am reluctant to wash it all off to redo.
Bleh.

Am wondering what the day holds...

Got a lovely sore throat and snuffly nose.

At the pool 9-11:45 today, break, then back 3-5. Would love it if I could have a couple more hours added on... let's say till 7?

Niall wasn't home from school last night till after 10. That sucked. Not looking forward to 6 months of that.

Very grey today, making me want to crawl back into bed.
Oh well.

Good morning, lovelies.
It is yet another grey day but I think I can see the sun peeking over the horizon. Boudica was out here running around earlier, speedy little bun. Niall is home until about 9:45 due to no lab for him this morning - yay!

I don't work until 2 so need to do some household chores and continue the job search. Also perhaps some internet wish list shopping?

Tattoos

I'm not sure if I've mentioned it on here before, but I have been thinking about a tattoo since last April.

I had originally thought about a seahorse on the back of my neck.

Since November I've been thinking about the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland (complete with his watch) on my left wrist. Just an outline/sketch in black.

I had a dream the other night about Hermes' winged sandals... little wings on both sides of both ankles?

(but a LOT more subtle than this)

And yesterday I was thinking about an owl, for Athena.

Thoughts? Opinions?

Yesterday I was at the pool from 3-7,

Before work I was writing cover letters and updating my resume.

Also having an excellent playtime with my buns.

When I got home from work, Niall was already here.

He'd taken a picture of Perseus making a hammock out of his blankie... so cute!

Today I need to find time during my confusing pool schedule to go to Gap and sub off my shift for tomorrow and also update my availability. Gosh I hate it there, except for the discount.

Niall, the buns, and myself went home for the holidays to celebrate with our families. It was great fun but over too soon.
For New Years, we were back here and went over to a friend's place to have a triple couple evening of appies, crab, and watching the countdown on tv. We were supposed to play board games, didn't happen.
It was an enjoyable night for all.


My New Year's Resolution this year is to be less of a house mouse.
So far, much success!

Saturday evening I went over to my friend Diandra's house to do a clothing swap.
We then ventured over to Emily's to predrink with some girlfriends before heading to Social Club.
(I had to borrow a shirt from Diandra because I have no club clothes - this will change this year)

It was a great evening...
I got hit on by a few people (something that has not happened in a long time - due to the boyfriend, not because I am an ugly hag) and I did not have to pay for a drink the entire evening! In fact, my total spending of the night was $2.50 for the cab ride home!

Yesterday was our pool inservice and I had a recert also. A very good day and it was nice to see all of my friends at the pool. We ended up going out to dinner at Boston Pizza as well.

So, it seems like 2010 is shaping up to be a good year.

Perseus

Yesterday Perseus was neutered.

The vet (Dr. Oomah) was excellent, answering all of my questions.

He seemed to really care about my bun, and know a lot about buns in general.

We picked Perce up last night and he was a bit groggy.

He also has a blue cone on due to him licking his stiches.

Last night sometime he must have taken it off, he is a sneaky little bugger.

It is back on and he's pouting in his corner. Poor sweet cherub!

Will be giving him lots of treats today.

Allright,
so my weeks of late have been report cards for swimming lessons. They take sooo long to write and we only get paid for 15 minutes of work per class. If you have a class with 3 kids, sure that's fine, but try 10 or even 16. Not cool.

Last night Niall came home a bit early and we went out to buy supplies for a romantic dinner.
Candles, salmon with crab rolled inside of it, garlic mashed potatoes, and a salad.
It was lovely.
We also rented Star Trek which was so much better than I had thought.

Yesterday I had a lovely day of lunch with Emily and then to the mall with Patten (Jessica, but we usually call her by her last name).
My Sparkle Party (for end of the pool work) is on for next Saturday and I am ever so excited.
We're doing a Swap and Share (like off of the Office) and I am buying Christmas lights today.

I also need to get Steph a birthday present (last Friday was the big 24) as she is coming to town this evening for her birthday party!

This morning I am redying my hair so best get on that as I have a lot to do today before I pick up Niall at 1pm.

This is my 200th post.

First of all, I would like to apologize for being such a slacker with the blog. But we all know how real life gets in the way of computer time.

Plus, I love tumblr and it's so much easier posting photos on that than this!

But I shall continue on.

It is such a grey dreary day today. I fill up my giant mug with hot chocolate but even that isn't doing much.

I work at the pool at 3:30 today, so I still have awhile to go before putting on my wetsuit.

I don't usually shower before pooling (not much pointe) but it is so very nasty out and I've been having major back pain, that a shower may be a must today!

Both Boudica and Perseus have been out in the living room running around today (though at seperate times because P will pee on B if they get in a tussle, good grief), and Perseus is now flopped by the sliding glass doors just looking out the window. What a sweetie.

This weekend we did the usual grocery shopping and laundry but also took a walk around the golf course all bundled up. I have some pictures from that walk and also Rememberance Day-off trip to the harbour and a walk around the Uplands.

I love my new camera. I named him Oswald and he takes amazing photos! They are so good and the zoom... my goodness.

Anyways, I need to catch up on reading all of the blogs, and then hopefully I can post some photos or something. I will try to get an update on my wee bloggie every morning, or night. Whenever I have time!

Today is Friday. I have no work work today, just house work. Hurray!
I have already dropped Ni off at his work, and put in a load of laundry at the condo. Dica and I have been playing for the last little while, and I gave her a haircut.
She just bit me because I was not paying attention to her for one minute.
Oops, she's off running again, buzzing like a little Bee. Haha, and she's back flopping in front of me for a backrub. Such a sweetie.
The bunnies have both been really good lately. Niall and I did a huge clean up of their room last night (we got a Dust Buster at Walmart last weekend). Awesome.

Today I'm getting a new camera. Hurray! I don't really have enough money to be able to buy it and groceries, but I can't take it anymore. I've wanted it for soooo long.

Niall has planned to get off work early today so I'll pick him up at 2. I've got to catch up on my girlie tv while he isn't here, so I'm off to download America's Next Top Model and Grey's Anatomy.

Perseus is binking around like CRAZY right now.
He has proceeded to run super super fast around the living room then, bip! right into a cartwheel!!!!
WHAT?!

Also, I think he tried to do a flip.
He turned 5 months on Hallowe'en.

Only one month to go before he and Boudica can hang out without him peeing all over her (grr/yuck).

Boudica's been so so sweet lately. She's all about the cuddles and kisses. She was being really standoffish the last month, I think more focusing on her and Perseus' new sibling relationship, but now she's back to wanting back rubs from Daddy and cheek massages from Mummy.

I love my babies!!!

the first monday of movember

Yesterday was rather uneventful.
Niall was hungover, I was still feeling sick.

We did some grocery shopping, popped over to Amanda's to see Little J's super girl costume which she had so desperately wanted to show us on Saturday, and ordered dinner from Swiss Chalet.

Dinner was 2 hours late, we were hungry, tired and grumpy.
Watched Canadian Bacon which was pretty good. Also watched Couples Retreat which was super funny but the version we watched had super bad sound quality so I feel we missed a lot of lines.

Today I'm at the pool 3-7 and I have no idea if I'm supposed to be working this morning?!
